Hi all
For those who were not in attendance...you missed a great show!!
========================================================
The Synch Ladies celebrated their 1st Anniversary Summer Jam Friday night to a packed house at the Shrine World Music Venue and it was an evening never to be forgotten; reuniting with family & friends; enjoying great music by some talented artists and the unbelievable crowd!! We couldn’t have asked for anything better than what went down that evening!

Our first artist to hit the stage was neo-soul artist, Nhojj. So gracious & giving, Nhojj wowed the audience with his smooth acoustic soul and undeniably fun call & response. Next up was Leslie Casey & Company who is no stranger to the Shrine; brought her jazz styling & powerhouse vocals to the masses! Leslie is also planning to release her debut CD for January of 2009 and hired the Synch Ladies to host her release party! How can we say no to that?! Next up, Kashan & the Simplysoulband grooved us with their brand of neo-soul and brought a little bit of the gospel (and a tambourine which was voluntarily played by 4RON & Taalam Acey.) Nothing wrong with giving praise & thanks on any night of the week!

Our next performing artist was hip hop rapper extraordinaire, 4RON! With his unmistakable showmanship and professionalism, he got the crowd hyped and the ladies of SR grooving to his flow. Taalam Acey jumped into gear with his electrifying performance; speaking of love, life and sex. He moved the crowd as well as one audience member, literally, to the stage for an intense moment!

Shakti brought her energetic blend of R&B fused with an Indian flair to the Shrine audience; showing us how to move those hips to the rhythm of the beat!! One of the most special highlights of the evening was when Mika hit the stage with her official debut performance featuring a backup performance by SR’s co-founder, Caprice. It was an absolute honor & a pleasure to give Ms. Mika the opportunity to showcase her unbelievable talents as a solo artist! Be sure to stay tuned for her forthcoming release at the end of this year as well!

As the night began to close, Kiki and her band hit the stage and it was a treat experiencing a more acoustic set then when the Synch Ladies first saw her perform at “The Rendezvous” series; bringing her phenomenal brand of rock and soul with a little bit of funk!! Last, but not certainly not least, internationally known vocalist, Rogiers, graced us with his presence flying all the way from California; performing songs from his recent debut release ‘Life & Music: All of It.”

Unfortunately, one of our scheduled artists, Jua, was unable to attend and we want to give a special shout out to him to let him know, it’s all good, and we will definitely have him for future SR events! Also, due to unforeseen scheduling difficulties beyond our control, Aston Gibson was unable to perform and we were deeply disappointed by this!! So, to make it up to him, the Synch Rhythm ladies vowed to host an event featuring Aston in the near future.

Lastly, we want to give a special shout out and a big THANK YOU to our family & friends for coming out to support us. Special thanks to Marko Nobles of Injoy Enterprises and Rhythm & Soul Radio who graciously helped in organizing this event with us; the owners of the Shrine for giving us the opportunity to hold our event at the venue for the evening; Silawn of Agape Promotions (it was such a pleasure to see you!); DJ Jazz for the hot underground dance mixes played in between sets; and last but not least, our committee members, Rachael Samuels & Sharlene Davis who held down the merchandise table—making sure those CD’s got sold; our street team members, Phil Zielinski & Fertia McCauley who spread the word about this momentous event, and our “official” Synch Rhythm Security who handled the door which such authority, Mr. Dennis Sloan!

All in all, it was an AMAZING evening; and we at Synchronized Rhythm will continue to bring you new and exciting independent artists; so please be sure to stay tuned for future projects that are currently in the works!! This may have been the first, but this is not that the last of the dynamic duo!!
