- The House of OSUN was established in New York City in 1982. Since that time we have remained true to our motto “In everything we aim to educate about Afrika!” Osun Designs creates one of a kind wearable Artworks that draw heavily on the Afrikan experience. No two designs are alike and each creation is as individual as it's wearer!
Osun Designs are a combination of contemporary style with a distinctly Afrikan Centred flavour. This fusion of hand painted indigenous images, striking fabrics, and “Osun's” signatory “simple yet elegant” shaping—makes each creation a feast for the eyes!!!!! We co-ordinate stunning Fashion Shows and regularly participate in Trade exhibitions.
Here are some of Osun Designs Sister projects. Nkpu , an Afrikan Centred Imaging service , where we show women and men how they can add that Afrikan centred flair to their existing wardrobe with simple and cost effective accessories. Gele Magic! The Beginners Guide to the Art of Headwrapping , a 15-minute comprehensive instructional video, from which one can learn 5 different Headwrap styles, (group Headwrapping demonstrations are also available), and soon to come
Gele Magic and More! The companion book filled with headwraps, information on cloths and accessories, body wraps and step by step instructions on how to achieve a royal look for Sisters and Brothers.
